Upper Primary (Y4-5)

Building on children's natural curiosity

Nurturing the creative problem-solver from the Arts to the Sciences.

UPPER PRIMARY

Our Upper Primary program (Years 4–5) recognizes that it is in these formative years where we begin to build the solid foundations for a lifetime of learning. Building upon children’s natural curiosity and sense of wonder, we inspire our students to stretch themselves, to persevere, and to try new things. Play is treated as an essential part of cognitive growth, and our interdisciplinary program incorporates drama, dance, music, and poetry as a means of fostering creativity, self-expression, and individual meaning-making.

Our classrooms and other learning spaces serve as workspaces and studios where student work is in progress and on display. We infuse project-based learning, problem solving, and budding engineering skills into our curriculum through the MakerSpace Design Studio, where children invent, build, and tinker.
